Abstract |

| |
Web Personalization is a process of customizing dynamic website items according to requirements of a user or group of users. These requirements are not explicitly stated in personalization process. Personalization task is performed by highlighting hyperlinks or offering additional contents or products or videos etc., which could be according to the needs of particular website client (mostly for human clients not modern software clients like soft-bots or web services). Usage mining based approaches perform this activity seamlessly just by observing user’s behavior during his visit to the website. In spite of having good commercial success rate Usage based techniques still have room for improvement. This article argues to combine website’s content and structural semantics with the personalization process. Furthermore, a framework is proposed that could be helpful for incorporation of semantic knowledge. |
