  Abstract  
 

Today technological advances in telecommunication field are moving with a dazzling speed. These progress have been influenced on different fields such a political, social and of course educational issues. In this manner, cell phone devices with its informative/educational role offer a unique   opportunity for different social groups to improve their individual knowledge. This article is aimed to investigate the role of cell phone in improving individual knowledge among master students of Tehran city. The survey method with sample of 390 students is administered in this paper. Analysis of the findings indicates that there is a significant relationship between academic majors and the role of cell phones in improving individual knowledge.
