 Conventional wireless communication software has mainly used socket, but limits in developing diverse service rapidly. In this paper, we suggest a service-oriented mobile system by adopting web service technology. Particularly, the proposed system accommodates various mobile terminals, such as PDAs, mobile phones and web sites. The existing socket system needs re-creatable coding every widening of client program. However, if web service technique is utilized, it can be used as a remote place service as well as a region method with SOAP based on HTTP. Web service system provides mutual compatibility, when different languages are used at client and server. Prototype system has been implemented with Server based on JAVA and Mobile client based on Visual basic. Net.
